Accessibility Statement

Nelson County is committed to making its electronic technologies accessible to all individuals.

Nelson County Tourism is committed to providing a welcoming, usable, and accessible online experience for everyone. We work toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA and applicable accessibility requirements. Accessibility is an ongoing process, and some pages or third-party content may still need improvement. Learn more about WCAG at W3C WCAG 2.2.
If you encounter an accessibility barrier, please tell us by emailing info@nelsoncounty.org. Please include the page URL, a description of the problem, and any assistive technology or device details that may help us investigate.

What we’re doing

We use semantic structure, keyboard-accessible controls, descriptive alternative text for meaningful images, clear link language, responsive layouts, and appropriate color contrast. We also review headings, forms, media, and interactive controls as part of ongoing accessibility improvements.

Our site includes maps, booking and contact tools, embedded media, and content supplied by third parties. These services may not be fully controlled by Nelson County Tourism and may have their own accessibility features or limitations.

If a document or page is not accessible in your preferred format, contact us and we will work to provide the information in an accessible alternative when reasonably possible.

Feedback and assistance

We welcome feedback from visitors with disabilities and from people using assistive technology. We review reported barriers and use that feedback to prioritize improvements.

You can contact the Nelson County Visitor’s Center at info@nelsoncounty.org or (800) 282-8223. We will make reasonable efforts to respond and help you access the information or service you need.
